He is currently conducting research on modern representations of the Tang monk, pilgrim, and scholar Xuanzang (600?-664).
    Benjamin Brose received his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 2009 and is now Assistant Professor of Chinese Buddhism at the University of Michigan.
