Dr. Charity Alinda is the Acting Director of International Student and Scholar Services at Millersville University. He serves as the University’s liaison to various U.S. government agencies including the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the Department of State (DOS), and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). His areas of service include immigration, cultural adjustment, campus integration, and post-graduation benefits such as Optional Practical Training (OPT) and STEM OPT. Dr. Alinda also manages the development and implementation of programs and services to enrich the educational and cultural experiences of students.

Taiwan IEA Experience – A trip to remember!

I’m very grateful for the opportunity to have researched Taiwan’s approach to high school computer science education. My goal was to understand better how Taiwanese high school CS educators teach using culturally responsive pedagogy and create a culture of belonging and identity through their teaching, curriculum, and professional development. This project helped me view CS education from a more global perspective and profoundly impacted my growth.
