Grace Pai is an Associate Professor of Mathematics Education in the Elementary and Early Childhood Education department at Queens College in the City University of New York (CUNY), and a 2025-2026 US Fulbright Scholar at National Taipei University of Education in Taiwan. Her current research centers on culturally responsive and sustaining education and the integration of computational thinking into mathematics instruction, and she has a forthcoming book titled "Leave No One Behind? Education for All through the Eyes of Out-of-school Children in Sierra Leone" through Rutgers University Press. Her career reflects a commitment to educational equity across diverse contexts: she was previously a math professor at Guttman Community College, worked as a math teacher development specialist for the Eastern Cape Department of Education in South Africa, taught high school mathematics in NYC public schools, and served as a US Peace Corps Volunteer in Bangladesh.
